Czech Republic to Give Its Top Honour to "English Schindler" Who Saved 650 Jews From the Nazis

Englishman Nicholas Winton, who saved hundreds of Jewish children in Prague from the Nazis before World War II, will receive the Czech Republic's top honour, its president said on Monday.

"Your life, Sir Nicholas, is extraordinary for many reasons," President Milos Zeman said in a birthday message to the Briton of German-Jewish origin, who turned 105 on Monday.
